How much does it cost to rent the studio space?

STUDIO 1, 2, 3, & 4

• Weekdays - $75 an hour

• Weekends - $100 an hour

ENTIRE STUDIO RENTAL

For shoots needing complete control of sound and light, the studio is available for 1/2-day or full-day rentals.

• 1/2-Day Rental - $500 (5 hours)

• Full-Day Rental - $1000 (10 hours)

ENTIRE STUDIO RENTALS are booked directly in-house. Please fill out the inquiry form on our website if interested.

Additional charge depending on the number of attendees. Attendee pricing applies to hourly rentals only.

When does overtime start?

15 minutes past your booking end time.

*Overtime fee - Time and a half of the hourly rate.

Can I book 15 - 30 additional minutes?

We do not set minimum required hours to allow cost-friendly options, but we do require you to book by the hour to best help prevent scheduling conflicts.

What is your cancellation policy?

• Weekdays - $25 rescheduling fee

• Weekends - Non-refundable + $25 rescheduling fee

Weekends are the most popular and book up fast.

Do you have backdrops?

We have seamless paper backdrops available for an extra fee. We do not guarantee specific colors. If you need a specific color, it is best to bring your own.

• $10 for 4 ft backdrops

• $20 for 9 ft backdrops

Who is responsible for your set design and setup?

You are. We help if we are available, but we are not always able to. To be safe, please plan on setting up and tearing down your sets.

We are here to help show you where things are and grab gear rented/needed from our gear closet, but set up and tear down are your responsibility as the photographer/filmmaker.

Do you have gear available for rent?

Yes. We have both in-house gear and partnerships with local creatives.

Local creatives rent out their gear to anyone who needs it locally for their shoots at EM EN. Please let us know what you require for your shoot if not listed on our in-house gear page.

Is there parking available?

Yes. We have two parking lots—one on each side of the building and street parking available.

What are your hours?

We don't have set hours. We are by appointment only.

Our office hours (best time to book) are 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday.

Do you allow events?

We currently do not. We are a photography and film studio. If you are looking to host an event downtown, here is a list of event spaces with an industrial look and feel.

Do you allow pets?

YES! We love animals and bring our dog, Lucky, to the studio every chance we get.

Do you have an elevator?

No, but you can drive your car right up to the second floor where our studio is located, unload large amounts of gear, and even leave your car upstairs during your shoot to load all equipment back up and drive down once you have wrapped up.

Is your studio soundproof?

It is not. We have sound blankets and moveable walls available for interview settings and set builds that allow for better sound control.

Do you have restrooms?

We do, two at the back of the studio, right by the dressing rooms.

Do you have dressing rooms?

We do, four of them, right by the restrooms in the back of the studio.

Do you have a kitchen?

We do not. We do have a coffee bar area stocked with coffee, tea, and water for you and your clients.

Do you have furniture?

We do. You are free to use it and move it to where you need it for your shoot; all we ask is that you put it back where you found it when finished.

Do you have seating available for posing?

We have stools and chairs available for posing. All set furniture is available for shoots. Feel free to grab some off of sets. We just ask that you put everything back where you found it before your booking time ends.

Do you have props?

We have props that change with our sets and can't guarantee they will be there. If you need anything specific, we recommend sending a message to see if we still have what you need as we change sets.

What is the lighting like?

Beautiful natural light, primarily from east-facing windows. It can be blocked with fabric.

Every light at the studio is an LED light that can be adjusted by color, intensity, and amount. You can turn all of them on/off or pick the exact ones that you want on/off and what color, color temp, and intensity you would like for each, all 28 of them.
